Does an operator need to have specific training to use a platform?
You must have a training certificate or MEWP license in order to be able to use the MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms). This is a specific qualification that allows the operator to be adequately trained in the correct procedures for the safe use of the equipment during work.
To obtain the MEWP license, the operator must attend a theoretical/practical course for Aerial Platforms, as required by the State-Regions agreement of 22/02/2012. This course can only be provided by organisations specifically authorised and recognised by law.
Hinowa also organises training courses for its customers because it is part of the IPAF training centre for using MEWPs.
