Lithium-ion system

Lithium batteries for aerial platform

Available on all models, the lithium ion system for aerial platforms is a specific type of electric motor. By using this type of power, Hinowa has succeeded in meeting the requirements of customers who need to use equipment for working at height in a variety of situations, both inside and outside.

Why should you choose an electric aerial platform?

Hinowa is a pioneer in this type of power, having dedicated many years to research, development and fine tuning, resulting in a low-cost lithium ion-based power system for aerial platforms. Company vehicles using lithium batteries can also operate in cordless mode with the following advantages:

  • No need for an electrical socket in the vicinity (for working both indoors and outdoors)
  • No risk of the operator tripping over the power cable (e.g. shopping centre)
  • Avoid the possibility of damaging the cables with the tracks or other machines in transit
  • Possibility of working with low noise levels (e.g. in historic centres or near homes)High battery pack autonomy (one working day, measured with Hinowa H2 operating cycle)

What are the structural differences compared to engine-driven models?

Hinowa electric aerial platforms are structurally similar to those with combustion engines. The only substantial difference is that is has a battery compartment instead of a combustion engine, i.e. a watertight steel container. The performance is easily comparable to models with fuel-based engines.

Battery pack 36 - 48 - 72 - 76 V (depending on the platform)
Charge cycles 2000 or 3000 cycles depending on the battery pack (the charge cycles have to be considered based on the fact that there is not memory effect in the lithium batteries, i.e. 2000 charges at 100% or 4000 charges at 50%, etc..)
Electric system 36, 48, 72 or 76 Volt CC for the electric motor, 12 Volt CC for the machine
    • Features:
    • Maintenance
Lithium batteries do not require any kind of maintenance, therefore it is not necessary to periodically top up with acids dangerous to transport and handle.
The only necessary maintenance operation is to connect the electric cable to the network when required.

      Absence of acids
Lithium batteries do not emit acids during the charging phases.
Therefore it is not necessary to open covers and air the batteries.
There is not any risk to saturate the premises with dangerous gases and acids.

The machines may also work with feed cable connected to the network. In this situation the machine works and at the same time the batteries charge.
